A graduate student of Columbia University won a cell biology lecture competition in San Diego. How in the world did that happen?
Plasticized tells the details:
A Columbia University graduate student won a cell biology lecture competition in San Diego as he discussed the nature of Pamela Anderson’s lips.
Dubin-Thaler won by explaining how to study cells in the laboratory, you grow them on to a matrix of proteins:
“It could be fibronectin or laminin, Or it could be collagen - like the lips of Pam Anderson.”
This is a step toward making science seem more interesting to those who are not inclined to otherwise pay attention to the field.

Well this is a good way to put those plump lips to good use.
